So it's the Rose City Yarn Crawl and because I have been thinking about a knitting or crafty related tattoo for quite some time AND because a tattoo shop decided to do a special for the crawl, I decided to get a knit and craft themed tattoo. There were a bunch of flash art pieces done up for the deal, but as I am not one to toll with flash art, I found done stuff I liked online and modified it.
I got my tattoo on my foot. A bunch of people warned me that this would suck.
I have to say, parts of my foot hurt like mad, and other parts were not that bad. Some parts oddly actually felt kind of good because my foot was itchy and it was the deepest itch you could ever have.
My husband laughed when I told him and said I was crazy... Maybe. I say whatever gets you through a tattoo though.
I have to say I am pretty happy with the result, although the thimble came out a little odd, so I may have that tweaked later. It is my first color-less piece so it feels a little odd, but I am liking the lack of color so far. The pictures are dark but as they heal they will get a little lighter, so if I want to add some color shading later I can.
I already have an idea that I might add to this one later... But that is a long way down the road if I do.
Edit: I did this on mobile, so I need to come back to it tomorrow to fix the formatting. I am not a fan of how the pictures are inserted on mobile blogger.
